Limited Excavation to Start at Royal Palms Beach

Construction at Royal Palms Beach is progressing, with the Sanitation Districts installing soil piles to prepare the site for more extensive excavation. The Districts have been authorized to begin removing soil around our in-ground infrastructure this July. The excavation work is required to prepare the site’s infrastructure for its eventual connection to the new Clearwater Tunnel. The first phase of excavation will proceed under archaelogical supervision. Once completed, the full-scale operations are anticipated to begin. There is no time frame for when full-scale operations will take place. Working hours for this phase of construction is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Construction work at the site will involve heavy equipment and truck activity. Residents and businesses in the area will be notified well in advance of our full mobilization before that activity resumes.
